The end of 2023 marked the celebration of a full academic trajectory for the first class of graduates on the campus of the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR) in L’Assomption. No fewer than 30 students have completed their bachelor’s degree in educational sciences and are thus ready to begin their careers in the region’s schools.
Of this number, 12 graduates come from Bachelor’s Degree in Education in Academic and Social Adjustmentand 18 graduates come from there Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Primary Education. After starting their academic journey in the fall of 2020, these graduates were able to take advantage of the accelerated formula offered by these programs to complete their training in three and a half years instead of four, and this in a context that will not have been easy for them. These two cohorts started entirely remotely, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Construction work on the new building will not begin until March 2022 Campus L’Assomption completed, that the students could attend their first classes in person. But now that is all behind them and they are now ready to make their contribution to the school environment.
“We congratulate all those who are graduating from the baccalaureate in educational and social adaptation. We would like to highlight their perseverance and determination and thank them for their contribution to Quebec society through education,” he says Corina Borri-Anadon And Lise-Anne Sint-Vincentco-directors of the Bachelor’s Degree Program Committee for Education in Academic and Social Adjustment.
“Here you go! You have successfully completed your training. What a great success! A great adventure awaits you in the world of teaching. I wish you success and magical moments that only those who work with young children can experience. On behalf of the children of Quebec and on my behalf: thank you for choosing this profession,” he adds. Stéphane Martineauresponsible for programs in preschool and primary education.
