The University of Quebec in Trois-Rivières (UQTR) held a series of Open Days activities today on its campuses in Trois-Rivières, Quebec, Terrebonne and L’Assomption. More than 1,300 visitors, including many prospective students, but also many curious parents, responded to the invitation of UQTR.
The people who travelled were given all the information about courses, university services, international exchanges and cultural and social activities. At each campus, different information kiosks were manned by different speakers, namely members of the faculty and staff, to which were added some current students, who could give a dynamic account of their experiences at UQTR. Guided tours were also given to small groups of people who wanted to see the main facilities of the different campuses.
For the Open Days organised on the Trois-Rivières campus, the organisers had planned a return to the Léopold-Gagnon Physical and Sports Activity Centre (CAPS), after having held the event in the central pavilions in recent years. Thanks to the space available in the large gymnasiums, all the kiosks could be installed in the same place, making it easier for visitors to move around. The fact that all the programmes were grouped in one room was also very much appreciated by those in charge of the various kiosks.
Always time to visit UQTR
