Two-week strike mandate for professionals at Concordia University

Workers at Montreal’s Concordia University have just given themselves a two-week strike mandate, which must be exercised at the right time.

The union has 600 members with professional jobs. This includes academic or communications consultants, computer analysts, psychologists and nurses.

He mentions the possible use of his strike mandate during the start of the university year.

In a press release issued on Tuesday, this union, affiliated with the CSN, indicates that the “University refuses to talk about the supervision of teleworking”, a decisive issue for its members.

“Concordia applies teleworking arbitrarily. The supervision of teleworking must be recognized as a condition of employment in our professional environment,” explains Shoshana Kalfon, President of the Union of Professional Employees of Concordia University (SEPUQ-CSN).
